Submission Guidelines

Submissions for KRNT are accepted on an ongoing basis. We welcome short stories, poetry, creative nonfiction, interviews, and microfiction. Each submission is considered for publication in the upcoming issue. We encourage literary and artistic experiments.

We accept original, previously unpublished work, including simultaneous submissions, provided authors notify us promptly if their work is accepted elsewhere. We do not consider popular genres, including romance, crime fiction, horror, fantasy, and conspiracy theories.

Each submission goes through a rigorous review and editing process. There is no minimum word count; however, short stories are recommended not to exceed 5,000 words.

All published content is made available as open access. Authors and readers are free to quote, cite, and reproduce it with proper acknowledgement. We may publish selected work in a print anthology and will seek permissions prior to doing so.

Authors are not paid compensation at this time, though we plan to announce writing competitions and awards. Rights revert to authors after publication; we ask only to be acknowledged as first publishers.
